In Response To: Hrs. to Strip Build? (Craig Bumgarner)

I'm 95% complete on a strip canoe (with a fancy strip pattern) and two S&Gs (don't ask how I got so many started at once) - the stripper has been the most rewarding and fun project I've ever taken on. I'm going to be disappointed when it is done. Which means I'll probably start another - I wonder how many on the board have built just one boat? The bottom line is that it takes a lot of time, but for many of us the building time is at least as enjoyable as the paddling time (maybe more, otherwise I'd spend more time paddling and less building).

: I've built a couple S&G kayaks. They seem to take me about 80 hrs. (I average
: 10 hrs. a week). How many hours does it take to build the (beautiful) Nick
: Shade style strip build boats I see on this board?

: Thanks, Craig
