: There's a product called c-flex, which is a fiberglass cloth with fiberglass
: robs spaced every so often. It is used to build one off boats, but i
: haven't yet figured the weight to build a small craft. I'd be interested
: in knowing if anyone has any experience using it.
C-flex is thick glass fibre stitch / wove with thin glassfibre. The final weight is close to that of regular fiberglass boat. The advantage for using C-flex is that the thicker glass goes in the length of the boat; therefore, can span a longer distance between the forms, and also most glass origin the length of the boat where it can do most good. On second though, may be you can shave some weight by using less material.
