American sources can't ship it to you? Epoxy has about 6 times the flexability of polyester. This is it's prime characteristic that makes it superior. It won't crack and shatter under stress. This is why it can be used as an adhesive and polyester is not.

Polyester sheathed strippers that have lasted are lucky or don't get used much. No compairsion between the two. Polyester is superior for doing glass lay-ups like fiberglass items (boats etc) but not to stick to wood in a thin layer. It superior for lay-ups because its, cheap, cures fast, and is hard. (in that order).

Try hard to get the eposy. It's worth it for all the time you'll put in.
