Hi all:

I know this is a little off topic for this discussion group, but I was thinking of putting a figurehead on my kayak (Great Auk, stripping will be completed in the next day or so). I found a couple nice pictures of mermaid figureheads that I liked. Has anyone done this? I know it's a little goofy, but I want to give it a shot and see how it looks.

Also, I am not very good at carving...has anyone ever tried sculpting something from clay, then epoxying it? I guess I have some experimentation to do...
