My first seat took about three football games (College Bowl week); now I can get one done in two. When you order the cane, be sure to get the binder cane (they throw that in), and a couple dozen maple pegs. You can make your own pegs, but they are so cheap why bother. You will also need a lubricant, like Vaseline or wax. I use bees wax, but just about anything will work. As for instructions, Gilpatrick's book worked well for me. - John
