I'd like to build a kayak or two- we have two little kids (4 & 7), so a relatively small double might be best, for one parent and one kid. I plan to build a frame as for skin-on-frame, but cover it with lauan, and glass it. Where is a good source for the design and layout of the forms? I built a S&G, and love it, but I think I can do the frame type a lot faster. I have a great old book, 'Canoes and Canoeing', by Percy W. Blandford, that has some nice designs, ('canoe' in BritSpeak = 'kayak' in USASpeak) and inspired the heck out of me many years ago, but I'm thinking there must be some newer designs that will probably handle better. Any thoughts? Thanks for a great forum! Anyone interested in one more custom seat building technique? Steve
