: Yes i have posted a message before to this effect. I am designing a kayak
: trailer, and this is a final plea for any suggestions as to what people
: would want it to incorporate and if you have any ideas as to how it could
: be made unique. The deadline for my research is in 24hrs time, so if you
: could PLEASE get back to me asap. Many thanks, you have all been so
: helpful so far, Benita Kingsbury.

I would try to incorporate some accesory set up by which one could deploy a tent-like canopy or similar stucture over the stationary trailer. This could be as simple as a rudimentary frame that can be attached to drape a plastic tarp over and secure the corners with tie downs and stakes. If it was long enough and wide enough, it could completely shield the kayaks under it from the deleterious effects of the sun, rain and fallen leaves. One might also consider standard trailer leveller jacks to make the stored trailer sit level on uneven ground. With these acessories, your trailer could become a year round storage facility for the kayaks, provided of course that the boats are supported sufficiently so that they wouldn't become warped during long term storage.

I've been working on a similar plan from a different angle..I'm trying to build permanent storage for kayaks and canoes that I always car top. I have an unused boat trailer and I like the fact that the trailer approach would save me the hassles of obtaining permits from the town hall should I build such a structure permanently.
