I built the boat for my girlfriend, Anna, who is 5'3" and about 120 pounds. Before the Tern she had a couple of fiberglass kayaks, and they caused her some back pain. I don't know if it's the super light weight (30#) of the Tern, but she loves it and theres no pain.. I've tried it too, and though its a little small for me (6'1" 200#) it is pretty fun. Tracks well, and once you get the hang of it does leaned turns really well. It's a great little boat!
