Hi everyone,
Before I start installing my first strip, I wanted to get some feedback on the use of hot glue. The messages I saw were pointing to use as little as possible, which I agree with. When do you remove the hotglue or most of it - eg after finishing the hull and before starting the deck? How do you deal with the hotglue when stripping the deck. Does it come still easily apart?
The second question is concerning fiberglassing. What is the best choice: Strip hull, sand, strip deck, sand and then fiberglass or strip hull, sand, fiberglass. The problems I see are humidity changes if I fiberglass fist only the outside the hull and it will take me a month or two prior to getting to fiberglassing the inside since I need to do the deck inbetween. On the other hand I have seen reports where the hull sagged between forms when the hull was sitting around sanded and the deck was stripped?
Any comments?
Andreas
