: I built the boat for my girlfriend, Anna, who is 5'3" and about 120
: pounds. Before the Tern she had a couple of fiberglass kayaks, and they
: caused her some back pain. I don't know if it's the super light weight
: (30#) of the Tern, but she loves it and theres no pain.. I've tried it
: too, and though its a little small for me (6'1" 200#)
What is too small for you? Do your feet fit in? Would size eleven fit? How tight is it for big person. I imagine the cockpit large enough. How many inches of boat is still out of the water with 200 lbs in it? Low freeboard can be good thing in wind.
:it is pretty
: fun. Tracks well, and once you get the hang of it does leaned turns really
: well. It's a great little boat!
I have noticed some people moving to shorter boats for the fun factor. I am familar with the tracking of the coho and goldeneye, does it track like that?
