Hi all:
I have finished stripping my Great Auk, and have done the preliminary fairing. Needless to say, I have a couple (OK, more than a couple) gaps between some of the strips that need to be filled before sanding. I know "The Book" describes a way to handle this with eopxy mixed with wood flour, etc...has anyone ever tried using the stuff they sell at Home Depot that's kind of wood colored, and hardens quickly? It's sandable, so that's not a problem. Maybe it will crack? Maybe it doesn't bond well with epoxy? Anyone ever try this?
Thanks in advance. And if you get the chance, help me out with some warmer weather in Buffalo, so my epoxy won't take three days to harden.
