Try the above URL, or just go to the home page of American Science and Surplus, which is:
They have several stores near me (Chicago area) which are great fun to browse, and their catalogs -- both printed and online -- are written with a light touch of humor. They deal in industrial surplus, and sell pullouts.
Buying from them is probably an easier way to get these things than trying to find a friendly aircraft mechanic who happens to have a few and is wiling to share them.
Since they deal in surplus, their stock changes frequently, so something available today might not be available next year. Check with their web pages and you can find solar chargers from time to time at a very reasonable price.
Otherwise, look at www.westmarine.com
http://www.westmarine.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prmenbr=201&prrfnbr=7454&outlet=
This should take you to a page in the West Marine online catalog which has some of their solar battery charger panels. Expensive, true, but they are supposed to be designed for marine applications so they should last a bit.
On a similar note, West Marine has some solar powered hatch vents that could ventilate an enclosed area nicely. Also, I have a few solar powered yard lights. They charge two "AA" nicad cells during the day, and when the sun goes down they run the batteries down powering a high effieciency LED for several hours. It is a nice way to light the walkway to the house, but you can scrap the mount and use the rest as a cheap, weather resistant solar recharger for a pair of "AA" cells. Might be good for a spare flashlight.
Hope this helps
