Paul,

Thanks for your response, i am currently browsing the books on that web site.

I wouldnt have thought any one not in Australia would have picked up on the RMIT:) or maybe it was the .au

By canoe i mean that it has no top, as i think this would be more practical for my needs. I assume any knowledge i can get on either building kayaks or canoes will be useful, as the basics should be similar.
