I bought Nick's book 8-11-00 and have two strips about 12" long to finish my Guillemot. He offers offsets for 3 kayaks and plenty of instructions, glued up a feather pattern paddle yesterday out of spruce, red cedar and really red aromic cedar using black graphite epoxy for a black glue line. I increased the drawing ratio in my computer drawing program 1.06:1 to give a slightly larger version of the basic design. Good luck.
