I assume with the tape and tack method, tape is used inplace of the stitch... i'm unsure of the tack part though?

: Yes, kind of. Tack & tape uses plywood and is similar to stitch &
: glue. Tack & tape is used in Skip Snaith's book "Canoes and
: Kayaks for the Backyard Builder". It is slightly different from
: stitch & glue, but the basic concept is the same. Most people on this
: board use stitch & glue for their plywood kayaks.
