Thanks for the compliments, I've really enjoyed this project and don't know what I'll do when it's done... other than the obvious answer.

With the pattern of the stripping, it was just as easy to do full length strips as it would have been to do 2 pieces, leaving the cockpit area open , either way I had to fit both ends. Besides, I had made too many strips and wanted to use them up. Some of my neighbors actually believed I was building a submarine.
