I use a pair of rope hoists for each boat. They screw into a ceiling joist and I made a couple of rope loops to slip around each end of the yak. I attach the rope loop to the hoist using the supplied link. I tie the rope from the hoist off on a cheap cleat from any marine supply. The hoists cost $8 each and the cleat was about $2. That's less than $20 per boat. They work great and are easy to operate since they are nothing more than a simple block and tackle rig. Harbor Freight is the place. URL below for the hoist.
