I'm pretty sure I used Dewalt blades. Also cheap at Home depot. When I went to but it I just went through every thing they had and picked the thinnest one I could find. One tip when you go to cut strips. Cut a strip or two and let the blade cool. You will get better cuts. I recently learned that from an old sawyer that mills pine siding.

why not a lot of people use a band saw for strips
