Hi all,
I am about to do some re finishing on the painted hull of a Ches. 17. i have multiple scratches in the paint. Also, the bow and stern have scraped through to the wood. (I cut darts in the cloth so that it would lie well, but I didn't reinforce the bare patches with tape, or any glass for that matter. I don't know what I was thinking when I biult it, but there you have it.)
I would appreciate your thoughts before I go about this. I am thinking about sanding the scratches out of the paint, which in some cases may mean going down to the epoxy undercoat. Do I need to remove all of the paint and redo it, or will new paint stick to old paint?
Thanks for your ideas,
Paul
