I have had good results with Freud and Forrest. Not the cheapest of the bunch but very clean cutting.

: I've seen these recommended for cutting strips, but can't seem to locate
: them. I'll be using an old 9", 3/4 hp table saw, so I was thinking of
: getting a 7 1/4" blade in order to reduce the load on the motor. Can
: anyone provide a specific brand name (Freud, Forrest, etc.) and model
: number? Where's the best (cheapest) source?

why not a lot of people use a band saw for strips
