Question 2, steel or carbide
In Response To: Thin kerf planer blades? (Brian Nystrom)
I just assumed that everyone was using carbide blades, which may be why I couldn't find what I was looking for. I don't mind spending the extra bucks for carbide if it means a smoother cutting, more durable blade, but the narrowest kerf carbide blades I've seen are Freud's Thin Kerf, which are still almost 1/8" wide. Are you guys using carbide or steel?
