For me, I found that I had to place the wood (I used a bunch of separate forms) within 1-2 seconds from the steamer 'tube' to make the bends that I wanted. Lots of breakage. (5seconds was too long). Probably achieved abt a 10in radius(approx) w/ some twist. Cedar. Had to go real narrow(1/16in) in some cases.

But the most radical curved steamed cedar (ash looks real bendy) I've seen on this bbs are the flame outlines on Kent's Flame Yak. If you're reading this Kent, could you tell us how you actually made it bend so much??
