In Response To: Here's one idea for Dzus Hatches (mike allen --->)
blind holes will fill w/ crud and be hard to clean, so maybe turn upside down, but I dont know of a reverse dzu. Some of those retainers might be able to rotate a little. Use a double thickness hatch, put retainer thru lower thickness so rotates (ie make it freely 'float') and is invisible, leave edge showing in the hatch deck gap, latch and unlatch by sliding a key or knife or spoon edge back or forth thru the edge. Invisible and close to structural.
