On my old plastic boat, I applied reflective tape to several areas. I have resisted doing this to my current painted plywood boat because it seems like it would be a problem when I repaint. I imagine (1) trying to paint around the tape and doing a bad job at it, or (2) removing tape to paint over entire hull but then not being able to get tape off well and leaving sticky residue and so on and ending up with a poor looking job. Is it easier than I am imagining or would it be more trouble than it is worth to try and reflective-tape my painted boat?
