I am about to set up to HVLP spray varnish on a boat. I plan to cover the ceiling above it, and hang polyethylene sheet plastic all around it, forming an enclosure. There will be one or two box type window fans in one end of the enclosure, exhausting out the shop roll up door, with furnace filters taped into the oposite end. What are the safety ramifications of this set up with respect to possible static electricity buildup on the plastic and the potential for static discharge causing a fire? Has anyone had any actual experience with this sort of work, either positive or negative?
