I took a drive up to Port Townsend today and spent a wet afternoon paddling several boats of the Pygmy fleet. I particulary liked the Coho, but my size 13's were rather cramped, at least to some degree, in all of the boats. On my drive home I had an odd idea that I thought I'd put to this esteemed panel of experts. Though it would make the profile of the boat look a little odd, my feet would feel a lot better if I could somehow make a small raised section of the deck just in the vicinity of my feet to add a little extra room for my toes. Another inch or so would make a bunch of difference. Has anybody ever done anything like this, or is it just another stupid idea?
Thanks,
