I'm glad you posted. Your plier’s link (which I'll buy form either the listed site or my local art supply outlet) also had copper tacks. About the tacks, the page stayed,

"These tacks, made of copper-plated steel, are the preferred method of mounting stretched canvas for stability and permanence. They're rust-resistant and sensitive to magnetic-head tack hammers."

That would have been a mistake. I think I will get a box though and run some experiments on corrosion and leached staining of the fabric. Wouldn't want that.
