So I am just about done -- so I thought.... I have varnished the deck with four coats and just finished polishing it up. Here's the problem -- there are a few spots that I can still see the glass -- worse, when I drag my fingernail across the varnish I can feel the weave of the glass. I actually spotted this before I polished up the deck and tried to add a few coats of varnish on these spots but, it had no effect. What can be done? What are the consequences? I store the boat inside and just cant see sanding off the varnish to add epoxy. The hull is painted and the deck is varnished. Would a marine wax help to protect? Help...
