In Response To: Searching for the right 'wood-strip' boat (Bob Deutsch)

When I paddled the Capella, the single most dominant characteristic I found was the incredible maneuverability. If this is what you're looking for in a wood boat, I'd suggest the 17' Guillemot or Night Heron. If you want something that tracks stronger, but is still maneuverable, the Outer Island would be a good way to go.
