Go with the 7 1/2" blades in the 10" saw. you do not need the depth of cut of the large blade. A cheap combination blade will give you an exceptable finish. The other big advantage of the smaller DIA. is that you are less likely to get blade wobble from a smaller thin blade. Cedar is easy stuff to rip but remember your dust mask and have fun, Steve
