Tom, I can't add much to the responses given. They are as articulate and to the point as one can be. On this board you will find a depth of skill and enthusiasm that can be called on anytime. I work at CLC, have visited the good folks at Pygmy and have made a few of their boats. Both companies have a model that is appropriate for you. Eric Schades (Shearwater) boats might be a little more dificult as they are half strip (deck) half s&g (hull) but there you could make a kit boat that is more unique than most. Whatever you decide just make sure you don't run out of latex gloves or a filter mask (for sanding).
