On my first boat (17' Guillemot) I bought 27 yards of 38" wide 6 oz. cloth and had a little left for the second boat (I think about 3 yds.). I bought 27 and cut it diagonal as Nicks shows in the book just to be safe. As far as the tape I bought 12 yds of 1" and 24 yds of 2" and had just enough to tape the cheek plates. On my second boat I bought the same amount of tape and 20 yds. of 50" 5.5 oz glass I cut diagonal and had a bunch left over for the third boat. Hamilton Marine has 50" glass for $2.99/yd if your still shopping.
