Sound like what I did;except that I spilled about 1/2 gallon of hardener on my cast iron table saw. I used an entire roll of paper towel, then lots of saw dust and more paper towel, then acetone and more paper towel (I put the acetone soaked towel in a metal can and leave it outdoor to prevent fire.) and finally denature alcohol and more paper towel. Took me the whole afternoon.
You did not spill as much so it may not take as long.
Why I did what I did? I just did.
