Sorry for the slow response I was out of town this weekend. I used (50) 5/8" strips of redwood for the hull. I have some photos but need to scan them and find them a home. Using the 5/8" strips I did not need to use "gapper strips". I hot glued the ends tot the inside stem. Seemed to work well. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
