: Please, post it, so we can all have a stab at your design to discuss what
: works and what may not. I like a heat debate as long as it is on the issue
: stuff (nothing personal.)
I'm not sure how you want me to post it. Dementions? It not a design that the true kayakers would want. I based it on the 11 foot Guillemot Little Auk to gunk around in small streams and lakes so I can pick up plants etc. for my pond. My plans are more rounded and streamlined then Little Auk with more of a v-bottom forward and rounded through the mid section while Little Auk is more flat bottomed. As I have posted on this board earlier, I am anxious to see if I fasted my strips with contact cement which would require no clamping and I can work right through the winter in an unheated area. An other thing I would like to try, is to take the tubular foam rubber that is slit along one side for pipe insulation and slip that on for the combing edge. I would soak it in epoxy and just slip it on and when it set I would give it two or three glasses for strength. Anyway here are some dementions. (Length-335cm,11ft); (max seam width at MID SECTION-69cm, 27.2", max water width-63cm, deck midsection ht-27.5cm, 10.826"); (Bow deck ht-30cm, 11.811 in, Bow water inter-30cm, 11.811"); (Stern ht-18cm, 7.86").
