After HOW? many months of dreaming (and in the meantime reading this bbs), I and my wife and our two new Pygmy boats have hit the water. woohoo!

nothing outrageous... just a paddle up the Sammamish slough... but with silver [coho] salmon leaping out of the water left and right. nice.

So my next step is to sand & varnish them, a couple weeks from now.

Can you experts give me some hints and best-practices for this task?
