: For some reason I feel compelled to build a kayak (probably from drooling
: over all the pictures of kayaks posted by guys like you). I'm thinking of
: an Osprey Triple by Pygmy. I have some carpentry skills (I built a kitchen
: from sticks once). Is this too ambitious a project for a first-time kayak?
: I've been looking at the S&G projects posted at various web sites and it
: all seems straightforward. But, I also know that when concept meets
: reality.......
: Anybody have any thoughts on this? Should I try a less ambitious project like
: a "kid yak" from Glen-L first or should I jump right in. Any
: thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
I say jump right in.The ambition and inthusamum you have on your first Yack will make up for any mistakes with enough enegry to corect things , and by the time you get past the half way point you will have to much time and money invested to quit.My first yack was the Guillmont Expedition and I did do quite a bit of Trim Carpentrey that seem to help . Good luck Rick Thomas
