I almost went with the Schade footrests on this one but I opted for the easy way out by installing a fixed deckbeam footbrace. I just epoxied it in tonight. I did go with the Schade footrest on the plywood vesion. I find it very comfortable, and easy to adjust.

I coated a polyester test swatch with epoxy tonight. I'm still leaning towards the water-based Varathane though, I like the look of the translucent skin.

The skin on the hull looks good, but the polyester was a tad more difficult then the canvas, on the first Walrus. The polyester should keep it light though. I'll be putting the skin on the deck tomorrow. Then it is on to sealing the skin, and making the rubrails and keel. I have a little bit left to do on the coaming, but it is getting close.
