Hi,
This has been discussed before with the major concern being the moisture content of the wood. If this moisture heats up it could delaminate the epoxy from the wood.
However, I don't know how much of a problem this is because a kayak sitting in the sun could theoretically hit this temp.
I have cured epoxy with a UV light source but not when applied to wood.
