In Response To: Which Sander?? (Doug Engel)
Hi Doug,
I wouldn't be without my RO, it's the only way to go. No they don't leave swirl marks. The only way I can think of that they would is if you sand with to low a grit paper. I start with 60 to to the hog work, then move on to 100 and then around 180 before adding another skim coat. One other thing, a fairing board sander is a must as well, if you want a smooth surface. Between the two it's all you need. Since I got my RO the other sanders just sit on the shelf.
