To find those big bucks in dawn or dusk, nothing beat an night vision infrared monocular. I have tried one, any warm blooded animal will just jump out in view. The price -- I don't know, I'll think it is very pricy.
: Now while I'm in the binocular buying mode, I'd figure I'd finally replace my
: broken compact set. I'd use these for hunting as well and was considering
: going up a size to the 8x32, 10x40 or 12x42 range. I'd like 'em light,
: waterproof and here's the hard part, good quality and reasonably priced,
: (read less than $200). OK maybe $250.
: Anyone have recommendations on brands, models, features or sources? I'm
: surprised at how expensive these suckers can be! Many are more than the
: price of a boat!
: My wife's will be a Christmas present and mine I need in a couple of weeks to
: help me find those big bucks that have been hiding so well in the NH
: woods.
: Thanks,
: Gary B.
