I must have been to that site last year - because I'm not that smart and I did the same thing around last new years. I think I did it to save time - but certainly didn't mind if it made things stronger. I built a cardboard A frame around some 1/8" Luan panels I was 'glassing w/ Raka epoxy and used one of those little space heaters with a blower behind metal coils to heat it up. I was concerned about melting things and starting fires - so I monitored the temperature with one of those little digital thermometers with the sensor at the end of a length of wire. According that thermometer the temperature was going up to about 120 degrees F. I was working on my patio and the outside temp. was probably in the 40s (F). It all worked great. I haven't done any testing to tell if the panels are stronger than a set of control panels - so I can't say if it made any difference - but I can say that I am very happy with the results.
