Hello, folks --
After studying George's page on cloth, I took a look at Kevlar on Raka's site. They list a 1.8oz 38" width cloth. I emailed Larry asking what style this was (George lists a 1.8oz style 124). Here's Larry's reply (and thanks for the quick response, if you see this, Larry!):
"Our 1.8 oz. x 38" kevlar is a Clark-Schwebel style 345 with a
crowfoot weave(4 harness ) and is 0.003" thick and a yarn count of 34 x 34."
Has anyone used this style Kevlar for Kayaks? I'm thinking of trying to use 1.8 kev for the inside of the hull on a boat, and maybe for the outside of the hull (although I might go for a heavier weight ...).
Will this weave form and wet easily?
