The Navy One brand of small binoculars look good,from West Marine. Around $180 I'm not a fan of high powered small binoculars especially for a bouncy platform. You might check out Orion brand binoculars. Ventana model for $104 looks appealing since it's a big mini at 8x27 with a larger field of view than most compacts. They also have one similar to the Navy one for $140. I think Orion puts together good optics for the money. Not sure where you are but they've got a retail store in S.F.
I'm waiting for the image stabilized 7x28 waterproof compacts with cell phone and internet access,,then I'll buy.
