In Response To: Raka epoxy - thin or thick? (David Dick)
: I was going to order some Raka epoxy, but the other day someone here grouped
: it in with the high viscosity epoxys. My web site browsing has Raka, Mas,
: and East System all claiming 600cps, with West System at 1000cps.
: How does the Raka compare, in practice, for flow and fabric wetout?
I used West System on the first canoe, and Raka on the second. Raka is thinner and wets out extremely well. Very well controlled kick off which gives you plenty of warning on when to stop working it. It is almost as clear as water. It will not ad any coloring to the wood. Raka is also a great value. I have no need to try anything else on future projects.
