: One last question, how critical is temperature for the resin? I've been
: taking it outside to work on on sunny days, but I was going to be glassing
: it in the garage. I don't have heat in the garage, so I can't heat it even
: if I wanted to. (Which I don't) Will it be a problem if the temp gets into
: the 40's or so after the resin is put down?
Temperature is very important in curing epoxy. If you don't want to heat the whole shop, you may want to make a 'hot box' that you can put the boat in to help make the epoxy cure. Use some rigid foam insulation ('refrigerator board' is a common term for it) and make a box that the boat will fit in. Use a space heater to heat the air inside the box. temps of 70°F to 80°F will allow it to cure normally, higher temps will make it cure quicker (if you can get it up to around 120°F, the epoxy can cure in as little as 2 hours. This way you can get the epoxy to cure without spending the money to heat the whole shop.
