I need to find a company in northern Ill. or southern Wis. that can supply me with high quality Western Red Cedar. I can't believe I am the only one in Ill. that is building these things yet it is always a hassle to find decent material. Usually I am left taking lumber that is sanded to 11/16 rather than 3/4". In addition I can never find flat grain lumber so when ripped it is face grain which is tough to sand or scrape evenly.
