I provide full size templates with my plans, the way i reccommend transfering them to the wood is by just laying the plans on the plywood and using a nail or icepick to punch through the paper to leave a mark in the wood every inch or so for your forms and connect the marks with a pencil. You can do it free hand if you want or take a thin strip of good quality wood and bend it around and trace the curve.
If you have enough paper, you can just glue the paper templates to the plywood and cut on the lines.
: I'm looking at my plans for a WeeLassie II and wondering what is the best way
: to transfer them to wood. That is, to copy them to the stations. I used
: very light paper to trace the bow station and I know I'm getting a little
: "play". I used a square to keep things, well square. Then I
: glued the tracing to poster board. I used the factory corners and a
: square. Is this good enought? I know there is some variance in it. Am I
: being to anal? This ain't rocket science. But each tranfer there is bound
: to be some "play". Will this add up in the end?
: Thanks,
: Todd
