Hi Theo, I haven't used it as a reinforcement for a wood boat but did make a light molded seat with it,quite trick. I would think that two layers of glass on the outside would be sufficient with the C/K on the inside. There's something about carbon and wood that bothers me, nothing I can put my finger on. I guess what it is is that the carbon/kevlar is such a highstrength material that it would be equally important to make sure that the fabric is bonded well and neatly.
