Thanks for this. Do you recall if it was still translucent when light was not behind it? I'm looking for something that will show the character(and difference) of the frame to the covering under most light conditions. Decent translucency is might barely be good enough. I guess if whatever translucent covering actually showed the character of the wood(of the frame) that means that it is adhered to the frame, and from the my previous concerns and the responses that probably is not the way I want to go.

I wonder if there are durable transparent pvc or polyurethane sheet products that heat shrink.
